IOCL NR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 433 Apprentice Posts

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division – Northern Region, has released an apprenticeship notification for 433 Technician, Graduate, Trade and Data Entry Operator Apprentice posts. Eligible candidates can submit their applications from 7 August 2026, 10:00 AM, to 6 September 2026, 5:00 PM through the applicable NAPS/NATS portal and must also complete the mandatory Microsoft Office Form.

This IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for training locations in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The apprenticeship period is 12 months, and candidates are selected on merit—there is no written test or interview.

The highest number of vacancies is available in Uttar Pradesh with 121 seats, followed by Rajasthan with 76 posts and Punjab with 57 posts. Other vacancies are available in Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Reservation will apply according to government recruitment rules applicable to the respective State or Union Territory.

Technician Apprentice opportunities cover Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, and Electronics disciplines. Trade Apprentice posts include Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist trades. Graduate Apprentice positions are available for eligible graduates, while Data Entry Operator vacancies are available for Class 12 pass candidates, including a separate category for skilled certificate holders.

Eligibility Criteria

For Trade Apprentice posts such as Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist, applicants must have passed Matriculation along with a regular full-time two-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognised by NCVT or SCVT.

For Technician Apprentice posts, candidates should possess a regular three-year Diploma in the relevant engineering branch. General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates need at least 50% aggregate marks, while SC, ST and PwBD candidates applying against reserved positions need 45% marks.

Graduate Apprentice applicants must hold a regular full-time BA, BBA, B.Com or B.Sc degree, with 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions. For Data Entry Operator (Fresher), the minimum qualification is Class 12 pass but below graduation. DEO Skill Certificate Holder applicants additionally need a valid Domestic Data Entry Operator skill certificate.

The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 24 years as on 31 August 2026. SC/ST candidates receive five years’ relaxation, OBC-NCL candidates receive three years’ relaxation, and PwBD candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per the notification.

Candidates with higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA or LLB are not eligible. Diploma or vocational certificate holders with one year or more of job experience after obtaining the required qualification are also ineligible.

IOCL Apprentice Selection Process

IOCL will not conduct a written examination or personal interview for this recruitment. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification for the relevant discipline.

If two applicants have the same marks percentage, preference will be given to the older candidate. If the dates of birth are also the same, the candidate with higher Matriculation marks will be ranked higher. Preference will be given to candidates undertaking apprenticeship training for the first time.

Shortlisted candidates must attend document verification and clear the pre-engagement medical fitness test. Completing an apprenticeship at IOCL does not guarantee a permanent job with the corporation.

How to Apply Online

  1. Register on the NAPS portal for ITI Trade Apprentice and Data Entry Operator posts, or on the NATS portal for Diploma and Graduate Apprentice posts.
  2. Ensure that personal details, category, education details and aggregate marks are correctly updated in the portal profile.
  3. Search and apply for the IOCL Marketing Division–Northern Region opportunity using Establishment ID E05200700003 on NAPS or NDLSDC000005 on NATS.
  4. After applying through NAPS/NATS, complete the compulsory Microsoft Office Form with the preferred State and three preferred training locations.
  5. Submit both the portal application and Microsoft Form by 6 September 2026, 5:00 PM.

Applicants should keep their Aadhaar card, PAN card, active mobile number, active email ID, Aadhaar-seeded bank account, cancelled cheque and educational documents ready. Graduate and Technician Apprentices should also ensure their NATS profile, APAAR ID, e-KYC and bank details are updated for DBT-related stipend processing.

IOCL Apprentice Stipend 2026

Apprentices will receive stipend according to the Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprentices Rules and applicable government guidelines. In addition to the statutory stipend, IOCL Marketing Division Northern Region will pay ₹2,500 per month towards miscellaneous expenses. For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, part of the stipend is transferred through DBT by the Board of Apprenticeship Training.
