Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must check the complete advertisement before applying. The principal eligibility conditions reported for the recruitment are below.

Educational qualification

Candidates should hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute. Integrated Dual Degree holders are also eligible. Professional qualifications such as CA, Cost Accountant, Engineering, and Medical qualifications are accepted where specified in the notification.

Age limit

The applicant should generally be between 21 and 30 years as on 1 August 2026. Age relaxation applies to eligible reserved categories according to Government and Bank of Baroda rules.

Reported relaxations include:

  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years.
  • PwBD candidates: up to 10, 13, or 15 years depending on category.
  • Eligible ex-servicemen/ECOs/SSCOs: relaxation as prescribed in the official notification.

Banking experience

A candidate must have at least one year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or an eligible Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India. Clerical-cadre experience alone is not counted for this officer-experience condition.

Local language proficiency

Candidates must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the local language of the state selected in their application. Those shortlisted after the online exam may need to clear a Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

However, candidates who studied the relevant local language as a subject in Class 10 or Class 12 and can produce the required marksheet/certificate may be exempted from taking the LPT. For Andhra Pradesh and Telangana applicants, Telugu-language proof in the prescribed educational documents can therefore be important.
