Vacancies are available in departments including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Community Medicine/SPM, Forensic Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, General Medicine, OBG, Orthopaedics, Radiodiagnosis, Anaesthesia, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Paediatrics and Pulmonology. Eligibility Criteria
The educational qualification and experience requirements vary according to the post. Applicants must fulfil the relevant National Medical Commission (NMC) teaching eligibility norms and maintain valid professional registration.
- Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty, eight years of post-PG experience including at least three years as Associate Professor, prescribed research publications, and mandatory medical education/research training courses.
- Associate Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty, five years of post-PG experience including at least four years as Assistant Professor, and the required research publications.
- Assistant Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty plus one year of Senior Residency after PG qualification.
- Non-medical Assistant Professor: MSc and PhD in relevant medical subjects may be considered for specified departments such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Microbiology.
- Senior Resident: MD/MS/DNB/MDS in the concerned specialty.
- Tutor: MBBS qualification with Telangana State Medical Council registration.
For medical posts, candidates must have valid registration with the Telangana State Medical Council. Applicants from outside Telangana may need to complete Telangana registration within the specified period after selection.
Age Limit and Selection Process
The specified upper age limit is below 65 years for Assistant Professor posts and below 45 years for Senior Resident and Tutor posts. The notification does not specify a separate upper age limit for Professor and Associate Professor positions.
