As per the 2026-27 Apprentice Trainee notification, KRCL is offering 134 seats distributed across Graduate Engineers, Diploma (Technician) Apprentices and General Stream Graduates.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  1. Graduate Apprentice (Engineering):
    • Full-time BE/BTech in Civil/Electrical/Electronics and related branches such as Power, IT, Communication, Computer Science, Mechanical, Industrial, Automobile, Production Engineering, etc., from a recognized university.
  2. Technician (Diploma) Apprentice:
    • Full-time Diploma in Engineering in the above-mentioned relevant streams from a recognized institute.
  3. General Stream Graduate Apprentice:
    • Graduation in any general stream – BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, Management Studies, Journalism & Mass Communication, Business Studies or equivalent from a recognized university.

Additionally, only candidates who have passed out in the last five years (tentatively 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025) are eligible to be considered for apprenticeship engagement.

Age Limit (as on 1 January)

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 25 years (typical apprentice band; notification mentions 1 January 2008 as reference for cut-off in the related circular).
  • Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

Stipend and Training Details

Selection Method

KRCL will not conduct a written exam for this apprentice drive. Instead, the selection is based on:
