AIIMS Raipur Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 121 Posts

A total of 121 vacancies have been announced across 39 departments. The category-wise distribution includes 44 UR, 37 OBC, 20 SC, 13 ST and 7 EWS posts; the vacancy also includes 4 PwBD posts.

The department-wise and category-wise vacancy position is provisional and may change according to institutional requirements and Government of India rules.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Indian nationals and possess the required speciality qualification in the relevant department.

For most medical departments, candidates should hold an MD, MS, DNB or PG Diploma in the concerned discipline from a recognised university or institute. Candidates applying for the School of Public Health post need an MD or DNB in Community Medicine/Preventive and Social Medicine. For Dentistry posts, applicants must possess an MDS degree in the relevant speciality.

Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination and are completing, or are likely to complete, their tenure on or before 31 August 2026 may be eligible. However, applicants should verify every condition in the official AIIMS Raipur notification before applying.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 45 years as on the last date of application submission.

Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• OBC candidates: 3 years
• PwBD candidates: up to 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST
• Eligible government servants and ex-servicemen may receive additional relaxation as per the notification conditions.

Salary and Tenure

Selected candidates will receive pay at Level 11, Cell 1, amounting to ₹67,700 per month under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Usual admissible allowances, including Non-Practising Allowance where applicable, may also be provided.

The appointment is under the Government of India Residency Scheme and can extend up to three years. It is a tenure-based Senior Resident engagement and not a permanent regular government appointment; therefore, regular-service benefits such as pension, gratuity, promotion and seniority do not apply.

Selection Process

The AIIMS Raipur Senior Resident selection process involves shortlisting based on applications, educational qualifications and experience. If a large number of applications are received for a department, AIIMS Raipur may conduct a screening or written test before the interview.
