RCFL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 326 Graduate, Technician and Trade Apprentice Posts

Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCFL/RCF Ltd.) has issued the Apprentice Recruitment 2026–27 notification for 326 Act Apprentice Trainee positions. Eligible candidates can apply online from 4 September 2026, 8:00 AM to 20 September 2026, 5:00 PM for training at RCFL’s Trombay unit in Mumbai or Thal unit in Raigad district, Maharashtra.

This recruitment covers Graduate Apprentices, Technician Apprentices, and Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates should note that this is a training engagement and does not guarantee regular employment with RCFL after completing the apprenticeship.

RCFL is a Government of India undertaking and a Navratna company engaged in the manufacture and marketing of fertilizers and industrial chemicals. The company will conduct apprenticeship training at its Maharashtra manufacturing units.

The 326 seats are divided into 145 Graduate Apprentice, 105 Technician Apprentice and 76 Trade Apprentice positions.

Of the total intake, 177 apprentices are proposed for Trombay and 149 for Thal. RCFL has stated that the post numbers are indicative and may change without prior notice.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not more than 25 years old as on 1 September 2026. Age relaxation is available under government rules: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, 10 years for PwBD candidates, and 5 years for eligible children/family members of 1984-riot victims.

Educational qualification

  • Accounts Executive: B.Com, BBA, or graduation with Economics; basic English and computer-operation knowledge are essential.
  • Secretarial Assistant: Any graduate with basic English and computer-operation knowledge.
  • Recruitment Executive (HR): Any graduate with basic English and computer-operation knowledge.
  • Technician Apprentice posts: Full-time diploma in the exact relevant engineering branch—Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation or Mechanical. Allied diploma branches are not accepted.
  • Attendant Operator / Laboratory Assistant: B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with Chemistry as the major subject.
  • Instrument Mechanic: B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with Physics as the major subject.
  • Boiler Attendant, Electrician and Medical Laboratory Technician: 12th class with Science.
  • Horticulture Assistant: 12th pass under the 10+2 system or equivalent.

Applicants need at least 50% marks in the qualifying course. A 5% relaxation in the final selection criteria may be given to SC/ST and PwBD candidates in accordance with applicable guidelines. The required qualification must be earned through a regular, full-time course from a recognized institution.

Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination on or after 1 July 2023. Those who have already completed Act Apprentice training, have one year or more of work experience, are pursuing higher studies, or obtained qualifications through distance, part-time or correspondence mode are not eligible.

Stipend and training period

Most Graduate and Technician Apprentice engagements are for 12 months. Some Trade Apprentice programs have longer training periods: Boiler Attendant, Electrician and Horticulture Assistant are for 24 months, while Medical Laboratory Technician training is for 15 months.

In addition to the consolidated stipend, RCFL will provide breakfast, tea and a vegetarian lunch at the company canteen during the training period. Eligible trainees can also access OPD medical facilities at RCF Hospital. However, RCFL will not provide transport or reimburse travel expenses.

Selection process and application steps

Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from marks secured in the essential educational qualification, subject to reservation rules. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Final engagement depends on successful verification and approval of the apprenticeship contract on the appropriate portal.

Before applying, candidates must complete the applicable portal registration:

  • Trade Apprentice applicants: Register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
  • Graduate and Technician Apprentice applicants: Register as a student on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in.

How to apply online

  1. Visit the official RCFL website at rcfltd.com.
  2. Open the Recruitment section.
  3. Select “Engagement of Apprentices – 2026–27.”
  4. Read the detailed advertisement, terms and eligibility conditions carefully.
  5. Accept the declaration and click Apply Online.
  6. Choose one training location: Trombay or Thal. This choice cannot be changed later.
  7. Select only one eligible discipline or trade. Applying for more than one discipline/trade can result in rejection of all applications.
  8. Upload a passport-size colour photograph in JPG/JPEG format, maximum 75 KB, and a signature in JPG/JPEG format, maximum 25 KB.
  9. Submit the form, download the generated application form and keep its printout for document verification.
  10. Do not send a hard copy of the online application to RCFL.

Candidates should keep their PAN card, Aadhaar card, Aadhaar-linked DBT-enabled self-operated bank account, educational mark sheets, age proof, photographs and category certificates ready. RCFL advises applicants to use a valid mobile number and email address and to regularly check the official website for updates.
