BEML Limited has released the BEML Apprentices Recruitment 2026 notification for 1,346 one-year apprenticeship training slots. Eligible ITI, Diploma, Engineering Graduate, and General Graduate candidates can submit their online applications from 18 August 2026 to 8 September 2026, up to 11:00 PM, through the official BEML recruitment portal.
BEML is a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The engagement is being conducted under Advertisement No. L&D/01/2026 for training at BEML’s Bangalore, Mysore, KGF and Palakkad complexes. This is an apprenticeship opportunity—not a permanent BEML job—and completing the training does not create a right to regular employment with the organisation.

Vacancy Details
A total of 1,346 apprenticeship slots have been notified across four BEML manufacturing complexes. Candidates should note that the number of slots is provisional and can change depending on BEML’s operational requirement and applicable apprenticeship reservation norms.

The highest number of slots is available at the KGF Complex, with 608 positions. Trade apprentice vacancies are especially substantial for ITI Fitter, Turner, Welder, Machinist, Electrician and COPA candidates. For example, KGF has 135 Fitter, 95 Turner, 85 Welder, 55 Machinist, 50 Electrician and 45 COPA slots.
Bangalore has major opportunities for ITI Fitter candidates with 123 slots, followed by Electrician with 45 slots and Welder with 36 slots. At Mysore, ITI Fitter has 56 slots and Electrician has 23 slots. The official portal also lists opportunities for technical graduates in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Civil, Computer Science/Information Science, Automobile, AI & ML, Industrial Production and Aeronautical disciplines, depending on the complex.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed the final examination in the relevant qualification within the preceding three years from the application closing date. Applicants awaiting final examination results are not eligible. The qualification must be full-time and regular; part-time, correspondence, distance-learning and online qualifications are not accepted for this engagement.

Relevant engineering and diploma disciplines include Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical & Electronics, Civil, Electronics & Communication, Information Science/Computer Science and allied branches. The notification also includes select roles in AI & ML, Industrial Production and Aeronautical Engineering.

Applicants must be Indian citizens and must have completed at least 17 years of age. The notification does not specify an upper-age limit. Candidates who have already undergone, or are currently undergoing, apprenticeship training in any organisation are not eligible.
Stipend and Selection Process
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend according to their qualification category:

The training duration is one year. Stipend payment and continuation in the programme are subject to satisfactory attendance and performance. Unauthorised absence or poor performance may result in termination of the apprenticeship.
There is no application fee, written examination or interview for this recruitment. Selection will be based on eligibility screening and merit in the final qualifying examination. BEML will prepare category-wise and trade-wise merit lists for each location. Candidates may be called for document verification in a ratio of up to five candidates for every available training slot.
Candidates should understand that BEML allows only one application for one specific trade at one specific location. Applying for multiple locations or trades can lead to rejection of the application.
How to Apply Online
Before applying through BEML, candidates should complete registration on the relevant national apprenticeship portal.
- ITI candidates must register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal.
- Degree and Diploma candidates must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal.
- Complete the profile on NAPS/NATS and keep the registration or enrolment number ready.
- Visit the official BEML recruitment portal and select the Apprentices login/registration option.
- Choose the eligible trade and the preferred BEML complex carefully. Submit only one application for one trade and one location.
- Enter personal details, educational information, NAPS/NATS enrolment number and DBT-enabled bank-account details accurately.
- Upload the required scanned documents, photograph and signature.
- Review the form carefully and submit it on or before 8 September 2026, 11:00 PM.
Applicants should keep a copy of the final submitted application and acknowledgement details for future document-verification purposes. BEML accepts applications only through its official online recruitment system.
Essential documents include the NAPS/NATS registration number, educational certificates and marksheets, Class 10 certificate for date of birth, government photo ID, recent photograph, signature, caste certificate where applicable, and cancelled cheque or bank-passbook first page for a DBT-enabled Aadhaar-seeded account. The candidate’s name and date of birth should match across the Class 10 certificate, Aadhaar and bank records.
Candidates should apply early rather than wait for the final day, verify their eligibility against the exact trade and complex, and rely on the official BEML careers/recruitment portals for notices, changes and document-verification updates.
